TRENDING: Searches for boho beach and coastal cool décor ideas rise as brits embrace the UK heatwave

When the sun shines and the UK’s temperatures rise – so do searches for Boho and Ibiza-style homewares – according to leading online interiors brand Shabby, which has reported a 50% increase in coastal-inspired themed décor searches over the past quarter.

From Mediterranan inspired blue-hues, Ibizian boho vibes and rattan for days, Beth Pickford from Shabby.co.uk believes that the coastal trend is set to be one of the biggest looks in interiors for 2022 as people embrace their love for travel once more and look to inject some escapism into their homes.

Beth explains how to get the look in your home:

Ibizan boho beach vibes

“You don’t need to live in Ibiza to channel boho beach vibes in your home. Be inspired by everyone’s favourite island with a few key interior finishing touches to channel this look all year round. Less is more when it comes to this trend – pick out one or two pieces to make a statement and pair with natural wooden furniture, a neutral palette, plants and palms.”

Natural coastal chic

“Natural materials are a key element of coastal chic with rattan and natural woven wood leading the charge as one of the key materials of the year. From chairs and side tables to shelving and woven baskets – this versatile material is the perfect complement to a neutral colour palette for the ultimate in beach inspired interiors.”

Mediterranean blues

“Blue is one of the leading colour trends for 2022 and it is easy to see why this bright, uplifting colour is so appealing. Blue is a fantastic way to add a pop of colour to an existing scheme to give it an instant refresh or uplift – channelling that Mediterranean sea and sky. From deep midnight hues to aqua-inspired palettes – mix and match shades of blue to give your home an instant coastal-inspired uplift.
